Moss Side Community First - YEAR 4 starts

- this is for community projects being run in the Moss Side area.
- the maximum grant awarded is £1000.00

1.Promote the development, training and employment of young people
2. Increase local activities for children, by supporting after school clubs, holiday, play, sports and cultural activities, etc.
3. Improve the local environment, by addressing environmental priority issues, e.g. graffiti, drains, alleys play areas
4. Address the issue of climate change, to include recycling and education
5. Increase support and services available for vulnerable groups including people with a disability and older people

Round 4 recommendations
This 4th round of funding received a high number of applications.
Unfortunately, the number of requests far exceeded the amount of money available for this financial year.
The Community First Panel have made recommendations for the following 6 Moss Side projects:

- Compassion Food Bank Christmas food
- Cultural education for schools in Moss Side
- Keem Youth Shout Out
- Sisters keeping fit and the youth homework club
- Manchester Congolese homework club
